Penta has created for you, in addition to numerous automatic accounting integrations, the possibility to manually exchange transaction data to your account.

This is done with the help of an MT940 file. This corresponds to a bank statement in electronic form.

It contains all relevant information about bank transactions in the so-called SWIFT standard for the electronic transmission of bank statement data.

Most accounting programs offer you a function for importing MT940 files, including the well-known accounting software DATEV.

In the menu item "Account transactions" under "Account statement" you can download an MT940 file for a specific transaction period.

If you are not sure whether the MT940 file can help you, please contact your tax advisor directly. He can help you to understand which file formats he needs to upload your transaction data to his accounting software.

You can also find more information about the MT940 format in our blog article.
